New tent, new panels....happy artist

This was the first time setting up the new tent......somewhat of an ordeal. I know, it would help if we read the instructions but, hey, I'm really right brained; that would be entirely too logical.

He's watching

You won't see it often but occasionally I do paint something other than people.

Ballerina Hands - not quite

Being difficult........I wanted the drama of the stark black background but it's kicking my butt. Guess I just have to keep trying.

Nude in the works

Nude series

I love painting the female body from the back. This is an early start. I haven't decided what's going to make it "sing" yet but something will come to me.

Jill's prebridal portrait - getting closer

A little more refinement and softening and Jill will be in the house. I still have to add jewelry.

Jill's prebridal portrait

This is the beginning stages of a bridal portrait that will be displayed on an easel at the wedding reception.....talk about putting the pressure on...whew! The bride will not see it beforehand.

In the works - portrait

A little at a time.....they'll come out. You can't hide from me.

Mirror Paintings

I'm fascinated by mirrors.......this is definitely an "in the works" but I'm having a good time with it. One of the best models I've ever had. She was very intutive.

New Propanel Art Show Display

I finally bit the bullet and ordered new propanels. My 1.5 booth meet my needs nicely and looks great. I also have a new tent for outdoor shows.........and a new trailer. This was the year to get it together......in or out...... as my Grandmother would say. I chose in. I love doing the art shows. Where else can you talk to so many folks.

hanging paintings in the new studio

I love my new studio.......so much room.....for so much mess. I'm terrible about being messy. I never want to give up paint time to straighten up. 10 foot ceilings in keeping with our historic home that was built in 1832.

Finishing my studio

Oh glorious day! The concrete truck is here! My new studio will soon have sidewalks and steps..........so much better for getting into than the step ladder.

Tappmeier House Fund Raising Event

The Greater St. Louis Art Association participated in a fund raising event for the historic Tappmeier House. My paintings fit in beautifully with this historic 1800's home.

Gallery hanging at Brookings Park

Hanging a show is not an easy task.......but I always have good help. Thank Heavens!

Olivia and Santa's Secret

Every year I try to come up with a new "Santa" painting. This is a fun one. You send me a profile of "your little one" and I create the painting in that likeness......talk about a family heirloom. These are special order........please don't wait until the last minute.

Framation Exhibit June 2010

My paintings hung in a 2 woman show at Framations Gallery in St. Charles, MO during June. It was a beautiful day with lots of interesting people. My thanks and appreaciation to those that purchased paintings. I love it when I know one of my paintings have found a new home.
